音楽性は”ゆるさ”を特徴としたルーツ志向で知られた。
音楽スタイルはカントリー、フォーク、ブルーグラス、ブルース、ロック、即興のジャズ、サイケデリック、スペース・ロックが融合した物でライブパフォーマンスでは長いインストルメンタルジャムが特徴。
彼らの熱狂的なファンは「デッドヘッズ」と呼ばれている。
アメリカではアメリカを代表する伝説的バンドとして認識されており、世界中で3,500万枚を超えるアルバムを売り上げている。
We are excited to introduce the official licensed 1987 tour T-shirt by LIQUID BLUE, the renowned T-shirt maker. This T-shirt features the iconic band "Grateful Dead," representing the hippie and psychedelic culture that emerged in California in 1965.
We have brought back the design from their '87 tour, complete with a cracked print for a vintage look. This shirt is meant to be worn and washed repeatedly, as it naturally twists, fades to a cool gray, and gains even more character over time.
Interestingly, when we did some research, we discovered that back in 2018, we actually stocked T-shirts of Jerry Garcia, the guitarist of Grateful Dead and a symbol of the counter-culture movement of the 1960s. At the time, some thought it was a bit over the top to carry Dead merchandise, but we did it anyway. And now, in 2023, we've finally sourced this classic and iconic design (surprisingly hard to find) that represents the late '60s to the '70s.
Our store owner has been around since the late '80s to the '90s, and now we find ourselves in the 2020s. It's been 30 years since then, but it seems like this style has made a big comeback and become a significant trend once again.
